While the Cincinnati Bengals have been going through a rough season, fans can’t stop adoring a recent player–fan interaction between quarterback Joe Burrow and a young boy. The way Burrow responded to the kid’s request has gone viral on social media.

Joe Burrow Responds to a Young Fan’s Request for an Autograph
Ahead of the Bengals’ Week 17 game against the Arizona Cardinals, Burrow took time to meet fans and sign autographs. Among the many voices calling out to him, one from a young boy caught his attention. The kid pleaded, “Joe, please, I’ll do anything (for an autograph).”
Burrow quickly responded with a smile, asking the boy what he was willing to do. His reply was simple and humorous, “Alright, you gotta get all A’s this semester.”
The Bengals’ official account shared the viral clip on X with a caption suggesting the young fan is about to receive an outstanding report card: “Report card about to go crazy.”

The moment instantly went viral, with fans loving the quarterback’s lighthearted and encouraging response.
The autograph was given right away, leaving fans jokingly wondering if there’s any way to track whether the boy keeps his promise, and whether Burrow would actually take the autograph back if he comes home with B’s. Hopefully, Burrow isn’t that strict.
Burrow’s Future With the Bengals
In recent weeks, Burrow’s comments have also sparked speculation about his future with the Bengals. Earlier this month, following a 39–34 Week 14 loss to the Buffalo Bills, Burrow expressed frustration that led some fans to wonder if something was off between him and the team.
“If I want to keep doing this, I have to have fun doing it,” Burrow said. “I’ve been through a lot, and if it’s not fun, then what am I doing it for?”
So far this season, Burrow has thrown for 1,268 yards, 12 touchdowns, and just four interceptions, earning a 74.7 score on PFSN’s QB Impact metric. When a quarterback of his caliber appears unhappy, it naturally sparks interest around the league.
While the chances of the Bengals trading Burrow remain slim, one NFC front-office executive told Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports that most teams would at least explore the possibility.
“There are probably only a handful [of teams] that wouldn’t at least make an attempt.”
The Bengals, currently third in the AFC North with a 6–10 record, have endured a challenging season. With tensions seemingly rising and Burrow openly discussing his mindset, it will be worth watching how the team handles the situation moving forward, even if a trade remains unlikely.
