Season 16, Episode 114 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing what Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike McCarthy and team owner Art Rooney II both said in recent interviews while the two were in Arizona for the NFL’s owners meetings. We first discuss whether Rooney indeed now has a firm deadline for a decision by QB Aaron Rodgers. We also discuss what McCarthy said recently about his conversations with Rodgers.

McCarthy talked more about Steelers QB Will Howard the last few days, so we go over those quotes. We also discuss McCarthy talking more about the kind of wide receiver he might be looking for in this year’s draft. As part of that wide receiver discussion, Alex and I look at some measurables from that position group that McCarthy previously drafted while he was the head coach of the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys. We compare those measurable averages to several top wide receivers in this year’s draft class.

Will McCarthy, GM Omar Khan, or both show up at Indiana Pro Day on Wednesday? We discuss that in addition to what McCarthy said recently about only attending one pro day so far even though he had planned to make six of them this offseason.

After wrapping up all the things that McCarthy and Rooney have recently said, Alex and I discuss the probability of the Steelers selecting a quarterback in this year’s draft. We look at what McCarthy seems to covet as far as quarterback measurables and how Arkansas QB Taylen Green fits those. Green, by the way, is reportedly scheduled to come to Pittsburgh for a pre-drafty visit.

The Steelers are also reportedly bringing in former Memphis OT Travis Burke for a pre-draft visit, so Alex and I discuss what we know about him and how he might be a Day 3 candidate for the team later this month.

Alex recently spotted several key members from the Steelers at Tennessee Pro Day. On the heels of those sightings, we discuss the two top cornerbacks from that school and the possibility of the Steelers selecting one of them in the first round later this month.

Would the Steelers really consider selecting former Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft? We address that question thanks to recent comments made in an online chat by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac.

This 99-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap and we end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners.
