The Kansas City Chiefs are still trying to find their way. They’re entering Week 12 on a two-game losing streak and trailing the Denver Broncos in the AFC West.
They haven’t looked like the same team that always seemed to find a way to win, especially against contenders. To make things more difficult, they will now face the red-hot Indianapolis Colts, who will be well-rested and prepared after a bye week.
Even so, tight end Travis Kelce recently sent a confident message about the 2025 Chiefs.
“I’m taking this year’s team. It’s even more frustrating knowing the kind of guys that we have, knowing the kind of talent that we have, the types of coaches that we have. It’s about time we put it together, man. We’ve seen what this train looks like when we’re rocking and rolling and we’re having fun. We just need to get back to playing K.C. football,” Kelce said.

The Chiefs have struggled to close out games after usually thriving in those scenarios. Now, with seven games left in the regular season, they have virtually no margin for error.
That being said, as much as this is uncharted territory, it’s not the first time that they’ve been counted out. With Patrick Mahomes at quarterback, they’ve silenced the doubters every time.
The Chiefs entered the season looking to make a statement after being blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, and, on paper, they had everything they needed to get back there. They still have that type of talent, but they need to play better.
This will be the toughest challenge they’ve faced so far. If they pull it off, it might also be the favorite Super Bowl title of their dynasty.
