Waiver Wire Week 10
Week 9 was absolutely devastating. Jayden Daniels suffered a dislocated left elbow and is likely done for the season. The No. 1 tight end in fantasy, Tucker Kraft, tore his ACL. Stud left tackle Joe Alt went down with a season-ending ankle injury. The list keeps growing, and it’s starting to feel like 2023 all over again. Honestly, it’s scary.
Injuries are the worst part of fantasy football. You spend all offseason curating the perfect roster, hours of study, strategy, and hope, only to have it unravel in a single week. It’s crushing. I’ve been there. In 2020, my entire team collapsed. Saquon tore his ACL, and the injuries just kept coming.
This season is testing everyone. But we adapt. We pivot. We find the next man up. That’s what this column is about, resilience, strategy, and staying one step ahead. Let’s get into the week 10 pickups.
Marcus Mariota
51% Rostered on Sleeper
Jayden Daniels suffered a dislocated left elbow in Week 9 and is expected to miss the rest of the season. Marcus Mariota stepped in but did not attempt a pass or record any stats in the blowout loss to Seattle. Despite the quiet finish, Mariota has already been named the Week 10 starter against Detroit, a defense allowing the twelfth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. He’s rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown across four starts this season, and his dual-threat profile gives him a floor in superflex formats. I’m adding him as a desperation QB2 with rushing upside and matchup leverage, especially in leagues where every startable arm matters.
Jacoby Brissett
50% Rostered on Sleeper
Brissett completed 21-of-31 passes for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns and added 5 carries for 4 yards and a rushing score in Arizona’s 27-17 Monday night upset over Dallas. He started in place of Kyler Murray (foot) and delivered a clean, efficient performance, converting all three red zone trips into touchdowns. Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride were clear winners, each catching a touchdown and leading the team in targets. The performance reignited rumors that the Cardinals have a Kyler Murray problem, and I agree. His field vision has been an issue for years. I’m adding Brissett as a matchup-based QB2 with streaming upside and superflex insurance.
Dylan Sampson
88% Rostered on Sleeper
Sampson caught 5-of-6 targets for 29 yards and added 3 carries in Week 8 against New England before Cleveland’s Week 9 bye. He operated as the passing-down back after Quinshon Judkins exited with an AC joint sprain, and his usage spiked in two-minute and third-down situations. Sampson’s burst and hands make him a PPR asset, and the Browns won’t risk overloading Judkins in Week 10 against the Jets’ aggressive front. Sampson is expected to see 6-8 touches minimum, with most coming through the air. I’m adding him as a contingency RB3 in full-PPR formats and a sneaky flex in deep leagues, especially if Judkins is limited mid-game.
Rashid Shaheed
95% Rostered on Sleeper
Shaheed caught 5-of-9 targets for 68 yards in Week 9 against the Rams, and now he’s on the move, traded to Seattle just ahead of the deadline. He joins a loaded receiver room with Cooper Kupp and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, giving Sam Darnold another explosive weapon in a top-rated offense. Shaheed has consistently led his team in targets regardless of quarterback, and while touchdowns have been elusive, his deep speed and route versatility should thrive in Klint Kubiak’s system. I’m holding or adding him in all formats. He’s a high-upside WR3 with spike-week potential and a clear path to meaningful volume in Seattle’s playoff push.
**Breaking News: Trade compensation: Seahawks are sending 2026 fourth- and fifth-round picks to the Saints in exchange for WR Rashid Shaheed.
Andrei Iosivas
45% Rostered on Sleeper
Iosivas caught 5-of-7 targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in Cincinnati’s 47-42 shootout loss to Chicago in Week 9. He’s been a quiet contributor behind Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins all season, but his role is expanding, especially in high-tempo and spread sets. With the Bengals on bye in Week 10, I’m stashing Iosivas ahead of a must-win Week 11 matchup against Pittsburgh. He’s a depth WR4 with touchdown upside and long-term value in deeper formats. If Cincinnati keeps leaning into their explosive offense in close games, Iosivas could be a sneaky flex down the stretch.
DeMario Douglas
59% Rostered on Sleeper
Douglas broke out in Week 9 against Atlanta, catching 4-of-6 targets for 100 yards and a touchdown, including a 58-yard gain and a 16-yard score on New England’s opening drive. It was his first career 100-yard game and a clear sign that he’s earned Drake Maye’s trust. With Kayshon Boutte exiting Week 9 with a hamstring injury, Douglas should be heavily targeted again in Week 10 against Tampa Bay. He typically works out of the slot but could see expanded usage in two-wide sets and motion packages. I’m adding him as a WR3 in full-PPR formats and a high-upside flex in leagues where volume matters.
Colston Loveland
95% Rostered on Sleeper
I scouted Loveland over the summer, and the kid has it all; size, burst, route running, toughness, and elite hands. He erupted in Week 9 against the Bengals, catching 6-of-7 targets for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns, including the go-ahead score that sealed the game. His 29.8 PPR points ranked second among tight ends behind Brock Bowers, and it’s clear Chicago has found their future at the position. Loveland’s usage is locked in, and his chemistry with Caleb Williams is undeniable. I’m adding him everywhere he’s available. He’s a top 10 rest-of-season tight end with league-winning upside if this breakout holds.
Luke Musgrave
32% Rostered on Sleeper
Musgrave was a second-round pick a few years ago and one of the most dominant tight ends in college football. Now he finally gets his shot. With Tucker Kraft who was the No. 1 tight end in fantasy, suffering a season-ending ACL tear after colliding with his own linemen (and as a Packers fan, that’s just disgusting), Musgrave steps into the starting role. He caught all 3 of his targets for 46 yards in Week 9 against Carolina and should see increased usage moving forward. The Packers face the Eagles in Week 11, a defense that ranks third-best in fantasy points allowed to tight ends. Musgrave is a priority add, especially for managers later in the waiver order.
