The Terrible Podcast – Windmon Signing, Sorsby Supplemental Draft Plausibility, Colbert On Pickett Pick & More

Season 16, Episode 152 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into the Pittsburgh Steelers re-signing OLB Jacoby Windmon on the heels of him playing in the UFL this offseason. We also discuss the Steelers continuing to churn the bottom of their 91-man roster even after offseason practices ended last week.

As we head into the weekend, QB Brendan Sorsby remains a primary topic with him now looking ahead to the NFL Supplemental Draft. The Steelers continue to be mentioned as one of a few teams that could look to select Sorsby in July. Alex and I discuss the pros and cons related to the Steelers maybe selecting Sorsby in the supplemental draft, what round they might consider doing so, and how drafting him would likely shape the number of quarterbacks on the 53-man roster.

Indiana HC Curt Cignetti recently commented on Sorsby and his future so we discuss what he had to say and if his words might resonate any with the Steelers with Frank Cignetti Jr. now a coach on the team. Alex and I also discuss the forever baggage that will be attached to Sorsby no matter which team he ultimately lands with.

Will the Steelers send anyone notable to Sorby’s upcoming workout for NFL teams? If the Steelers are present for that workout, who from the organization should attend it if the team is seriously considering selecting him in the supplemental draft? We attempt to address both of those questions during this show.

After a long discussion about Sorsby, Alex and I recap what former Steelers GM Kevin Colbert said about selecting QB Kenny Pickett in the first round of the draft several years ago. Colbert still defends the Pickett selection, and Alex and I wonder if he really should continue to do so.

Later in this show, I provide a Steelers salary cap update on the heels of the team’s recent transactions. Alex and I also dive deeper into QB Drew Allar having yet to sign his rookie contract and what that might mean. We also go over the brief list of other 2026 draft class members who have yet to sign their rookie contracts as well.

This 92-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above, and we make sure to answer a few listener emails we have received to close out this show.
