On Sunday, the Celtics star doubled down on his accusation, sparking widespread backlash.

A day after finding himself on the wrong side of NBA history, Brown refused to let the “flopping” issue die quietly, reiterating his feelings during a Twitch stream.

“Flopping has ruined our league,” Brown said. “Joel Embiid is one of the greatest players that has played basketball, but he flops. He knows it, too.”

NBA fans did not take long to pounce on the timing and tone of the five-time All-Star’s blunt comments.

Meanwhile, another user highlighted Brown’s reputation for pushing off defenders to create space on drives, writing, “And your push offs Brown? Things went south for Boston before the opening tip-off, as Jayson Tatum was ruled out with left knee stiffness. Head coach Joe Mazzulla was forced to scramble and roll out a heavily adjusted rotation, which struggled to cope with the Sixers.

Philadelphia’s comeback was fueled by Embiid recording a game-high 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists in just his fourth outing since returning from an early April appendectomy.
