Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo are settling into life as new parents, and the 49ers star is finding support both on and off the field. Recently, Olivia shared a heartfelt moment with her mother-in-law that offers a glimpse into the special family bonds surrounding the couple, showing that sometimes, the best support comes from home.

Christian McCaffrey’s Wife Olivia Culpo Shares Heartfelt Message For Her Best Mother-In-Law
The McCaffrey family’s world changed completely on July 13 with the arrival of Christian and Olivia’s first daughter, Colette Annalise McCaffrey. However, with the NFL season kicking off last month, Christian’s attention has naturally shifted to football, but his mother, Lisa McCaffrey, has stepped in to fill the gap at home.
On Wednesday, Olivia took to Instagram to express her appreciation for Lisa, highlighting her help with childcare and home-cooked meals. “Came home to the best MIL with the best vibes, the best food, and the best free childcare hehe,” she captioned the story, showing Lisa busy in the kitchen.

While the 49ers rely on McCaffrey to deliver on the field, it’s clear that the support he receives off the field is just as crucial. Olivia’s heartfelt shoutout to Lisa highlights the behind-the-scenes foundation that allows him to focus on football.
Between a newborn at home and a demanding NFL season, the McCaffreys’ story is a reminder that even star athletes thrive best when surrounded by family and love. He missed a total of 13 weeks last season due to injury, and his absence played a major role in the 49ers’ disappointing 6-11 record.
However, he has returned healthy this season and has helped the team reach a 3-1 record so far, even with quarterback Brock Purdy missing two games. Through four games this season, McCaffrey has 69 carries for 225 yards, averaging a career-low 3.3 yards per carry, and has yet to score a rushing touchdown.
However, he has been highly productive in the passing game, especially with the 49ers’ receiving corps also dealing with injuries, catching 31 passes for 305 yards and two touchdowns. McCaffrey’s role as a receiver is likely to increase, particularly with wideouts Ricky Pearsall and Juan Jennings out for Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams.
In addition, Mac Jones, who is 2-0 as a starter this season, will continue to lead the offense in Purdy’s absence, placing an even bigger responsibility on McCaffrey to carry the running game for the 49ers, who are currently 11th in PFSN’s Offense Impact metrics.
