The Vikings news never fully stops. Lately, the effort here has been to corral some of what got missed in a Friday morning piece.
So far, the effort on VT has considered some offensive linemen getting worked out, the Mac Jones trade theory, and a depth blocker being shown the door. There has been a consideration of the challenge that is the Bills, the former GM’s take on trading, and a rookie getting demoted. Consider some of the Vikings news to have been missed.
Vikings News: 11.06.2026
No. 1 — Kyle Shanahan Talks Jauan Jennings Trade

San Francisco wanted Jauan Jennings. Jauan Jennings decided he wanted to stick around in the Twin Cities.
Consider the word to be passed along by Andrew Siciliano: “Kyle Shanahan says he did FaceTime with Vikings WR Jajuan Jennings and that Jennings said, ‘Kyle, I’m pretty happy here.’ Shanahan says he agreed Jennings should stay in Minnesota, hence no trade.”
Good move from San Francisco and Minnesota to respect the veteran’s wishes.
Meanwhile, the focus shifts toward whether the elevation of Carson Wentz to QB1 will change anything. Kyler Murray is recovering from a hamstring strain, allowing for Minnesota to test drive a new starter. Unlocking the skill — Jefferson most prominently, but Addison and Jennings, too — would do wonders for a Vikings squad that’s desperate for some level of competence in the passing game.
No. 2 — Aaron Jones Does Some Nice Work

There are very few, if any, around TCO Performance Center who don’t hold Aaron Jones in high regard. The veteran is tough, competitive, and does excellent work on and off the field.
Lindsey Young of the team’s website recently wrote about how the RB1 has been nominated for the Salute to Service Award. Some background: “The Salute to Service Award presented by USAA acknowledges the exceptional efforts by members of the NFL community to honor and support U.S. service members, veterans and their families. The Vikings have selected Aaron Jones, Sr., as their nominee for this year’s Salute to Service Award. Finalists are determined by the consensus votes of fans, an NFL internal committee and USAA.”

No. 3 — Lions LB Jack Campbell Keeps Making Progress

In Jack Campbell, the Lions boast one of the NFL’s elite linebackers. And, indeed, defenders more broadly.
The All Pro went down with a very, very serious injury in Week 9. Credit to Kevin O’Connell for always remembering that there are real humans underneath the helmet and shoulder pads. Lions skipper Dan Campbell praised O’Connell for being so concerned for the rival player’s health.
Everyone in Minnesota’s orbit, from owners down to the fans, should be proud of how the Vikings made sure to remember what’s most important.
Most encouraging is that Campbell has been gaining movement. Consider his own wording: “I’m incredibly encouraged by the progress I’ve made in such a short period of time. I have full movement in my lower body, and I’m continuing to make progress with movement in my upper body. I know there’s still work ahead, but I remain very optimistic. I’m taking things one day at a time, staying positive, and focusing on getting better.”
Check out his full statement and continue praying for him.
