The Terrible Podcast — Steelers Vs. Falcons Preview, Tagovailoa’s Status, Week 1 Picks & More

Season 17, Episode 21 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Thursday injury reports released by the Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons ahead of their Sunday game. We spend a little time focusing on Falcons QB Tua Tagovailoa’s status heading into Friday as a recent oblique injury seems to have him questionable for Sunday’s game. We talk about how backup QB Cooper Rush could wind up starting for the Falcons against the Steelers.

CB Joey Porter Jr. is the only player listed on the Steelers’ injury report heading into Friday so Alex and I discuss his ongoing situation and whether both of us think he will ultimately sign a contract extension prior to Sunday’s game. We also discuss the amount of playing time Porter could end up receiving if he does indeed suit up against the Falcons.

In the middle of this Friday show, Alex and I are joined by Daniel Flick, who covers the Falcons for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Daniel provides his insight on the 2026 Falcons ahead of them facing the Steelers. He answers several questions we have about the Falcons’ offense and defense ahead of the Sunday game. At the end of our interview with Daniel, he provides us with a final score prediction for Sunday’s game.
