The Dallas Cowboys recently held a players-only meeting amid their 2-3 start. Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin thinks that won’t save their season.
Tomlin, now a studio analyst for NBC’s “Sunday Night Football,” joined Travis and Jason Kelce on their podcast, “New Heights,” to discuss all things NFL. Asked about the Cowboys, the Super Bowl-winning coach said they’re toast.
Mike Tomlin reacts to Cowboys’ players-only meeting
“I think you’re dead,” Tomlin said when asked what a players-only meeting symbolizes. “If it did occur, I’d like to not hear about it. The fact that you’re hearing about it is what makes it B.S.”
Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown revealed Monday that players held a “heart-to-heart” meeting following a 24-16 loss to the 1-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers on “Thursday Night Football.” The defender is optimistic those conversations will spark an in-season turnaround. So is head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
