The Kansas City Chiefs are rolling.
They have overcome a slow start to the season, and with their pass catchers now at full strength, quarterback Patrick Mahomes has an abundance of weapons to target.
Even if Travis Kelce isn’t at the top of the pecking order anymore, the tight end is far from finished and remains one of his favorites in the red zone.
That was the case again in their Week 8 win against the Washington Commanders, as the likely Hall of Famer reached a significant milestone.
“Tonight, Travis Kelce recorded his 100th career receiving TD, including playoffs,” the Chiefs wrote on X.

Kelce will go down as one of the greatest tight ends to ever play.
He has multiple records to his name, and even though tight ends are more involved in the passing game nowadays, it’ll be some time before anyone comes close to him.
This has been a revival season for the three-time Super Bowl champion.
He reportedly considered retirement during the offseason, but after losing the Super Bowl and hearing some negative chatter about him, he chose to run it back instead.
The Chiefs don’t need him to be their No. 1 receiver anymore, and that has opened up plenty of lanes for him, which wasn’t the case last season.
With Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy at wide receiver, the Chiefs are looking scarier by the week, and Kelce is taking advantage of the opportunity.
