Earlier this season, the Kansas City Chiefs showed some concerning signs that their best days may be behind them.
But after dismantling the Washington Commanders on “Monday Night Football,” the Chiefs have won five out of six games.
Kansas City is back in the mix for the AFC West and conference titles, which wouldn’t be possible if its offense hadn’t found a way to turn back the clock and start producing like it once did.
Insider Matt McMullen shared that the Chiefs have reached a level of consistency that no one else has this year.
“The Chiefs are the only team in the NFL to score 28+ points in five straight games at any point this season. K.C. is outscoring the opposition by a mark of 154-75 during this stretch,” McMullen wrote on X.

After failing to score more than 22 points in each of their first three games, the Chiefs have generated momentum to carry them into the toughest portion of their schedule.
Kansas City’s next six games are against the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and Los Angeles Chargers, which is going to be a strong test for the reigning AFC champion and should reveal if it has what it takes to get back to the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs have made it to the past three, winning two, but the offense hasn’t been this explosive or as dangerous since trading away Tyreek Hill.
Now, Patrick Mahomes has the offense humming again, with a collection of receivers that may be the best of his career.
