2026 Shareholder Report

Welcome to the 2025-26 edition of The Power Sweep’s shareholder report.

I used to do our “state of the site” reports in January, but it’s more fun to do them at this time of year. Training camp is about to kick off, the buzz of a new season is approaching, and the Packers themselves are holding their shareholder meeting in the very near future.

And, much like the Packers, I view everyone who contributes financially to this venture as a shareholder in a way. Just like with Packers stock, you don’t get any financial recompense for your contribution, but you’re a key part of keeping this whole thing going. Without your support, this would all feel pretty silly. It’d still happen, but I’d get a lot more sideways looks from my family if I was writing articles nobody read and recording podcasts nobody listened to.

So, right up top, thank you for being a supporter. Here’s what I can tell you about how the last season went and what we’re looking at for the future.

As a reminder, “The Power Sweep” refers to both the overall project and the website itself. Blue 58 is a part of The Power Sweep, and all other projects fall under The Power Sweep’s banner, in addition to the website, which I’ll refer to as “ThePowerSweep.com” when talking about site-related things, specifically.

Overview

Overall, I’m quite pleased with how the 2025-26 season went for the site and podcast. As we head into our 11th year (somehow!), I think the project is closer to my ultimate vision than its ever been, and I’m very happy with that.

The biggest challenge right now comes down to a single word: ambition. I think I was definitely a bit over-ambitious with my 2025-26 goals, and the way I went about meeting them was not necessarily sustainable, either. That’s not to say the goals were bad, but the pursuit of those goals was not where it needed to be.

But, again, overall I’m very pleased with the overall state of the project, and I think we’re in very good shape for this year and years to come.
